Studio located near Highway 2 and Liverpool Rd. Member of SAA, SAO, and ORMTA. Svetla completed her university degree in Prague, Czech Republic majoring in the cello and pedagogy. A member of the Prague Chamber Orchestra and the National Theater Orchestra from 1973-1985. Svetla has been teaching in her Pickering studio since 1988. She teaches the following instruments: cello, violin and classical guitar using both the Suzuki and traditional method.

Students have many activities to participate in: Suzuki oriented workshops and performances, recitals, preparations for RCM exams, competitions. Svetla is also a director of the Durham Cello Ensemble. She actively performs as a soloist and in chamber groups. She was the principal cello of Durham Cello Ensemble in 1999-2003.
