Toronto Flute School Director – received a BMus in Performance from McGill University and a MMus in Performance from the University of Toronto.
Taught at the Royal Conservatory of Music for 18 years before establishing the Toronto Flute School in 1998. Her teachers have included Louis Moyse, Jeanne Baxtresser and Andre Jaunet. She has also trained extensively in the Suzuki Method, and studied with Toshio Takahashi, founder of the Suzuki Method for Flute. As a founding member of the chamber music ensemble Musica Viva, she has toured in Canada, Great Britain and Europe, given radio and television performances at
home and abroad, and released two CDs, Entre Nous and In Essence, both to critical acclaim. She is currently principal flute with Opera Kitchener,and second flute and piccolo with Opera York. Vicki was the treasurer of the first Board of the SAO. She recently served on the Board from 2005-2011, and was Chair of the SAO from 2007-2010. She is the assistant flute co-ordinator of
the 2012 Suzuki Association of the Americas conference, and will become the flute co-ordinator for the next SAA conference in 2014.
