Tel.: 905-465-0266 Email: daphne_grittani@yahoo.comDaphne has played cello and piano for over 30 years, completing Royal Conservatory exams, including receiving the silver medal award for the top mark in Ontario on her grade 8 cello exam. She has completed Suzuki cello units 1, 2, 3 and 7 with Susan Gagnon, and cello group techniques with Carey Beth Hockett. Daphne has also completed unit 1 piano with Carole Bigler. She is a member of the SAA (Suzuki Association of the Americas) and SAO (Suzuki Association of Ontario). She has enjoyed playing in a number of community orchestras and ensembles including the Scarborough Philharmonic, The West Coast Symphony in Vancouver and currently plays with the Mississauga Symphony. Daphne was introduced to the Suzuki method when her first daughter started on the cello at age 4. She is a mother of 4 and a Suzuki parent for over 10 years. Daphne completed Suzuki Early Childhood (ECE) training with Dorothy and Sharon Jones and now teaches a Suzuki ECE music program for children ages 0-3. |

| Teacher - Violin Area Rep. - Area Code 416 Toronto, Tel: 416-233-0279 Email: margotjewell@hotmail.com A native of Toronto, Margot was a scholarship student at McMaster University where she received her Bachelor of Music and studied violin with Marta Hidy and Victor Martin (University of Toronto). She also received her ARCT from the Royal Conservatory of Music. She received her Suzuki teacher training from many inspiring pedagogues including Sandy and Joan Reuning, Christophe and Judy Bossuat, Helen Brunner, Linda Case, Ronda Cole, Geri Arnold, and for three months in Matsumoto Japan with Shinichi Suzuki. Margot has also studied baroque violin with Jean Lamon and Kevin Mallon of Tafelmusik. Margot has has performed in groups such as the Hamilton Philharmonic, Symphony Niagara, Te Deum Orchestra, the Aradia Ensemble, as well as many free lance groups. For over 30 years Margot has enjoyed working with young people and their families, first at the Hamilton Suzuki School where she taught violin and was also the director. Then in 1982 she founded the Etobicoke Suzuki School of Music, where she presently teaches and is a director. Margot taught for many years for the TDSB as a visiting artist at the Etobicoke School of the Arts. Margot is a festival adjudicator across Ontario and is a member of the College of Examiners for the Royal Conservatory of Music. She is also in demand for weekend workshops and week-long institutes with Suzuki students held at various Suzuki schools and universities across Canada. For the last 14 summers, Margot has enjoyed being a faculty member of the National Music Camp near Orillia Ontario. She is mother to two grown up Suzuki students. |

She has been teaching piano for over twenty-five years and has been using the Suzuki method for more than ten years. Her students are frequent winners of awards and perform in many functions in the Ottawa area. Eileen has received Suzuki training from Gail Lange, Doris Koppelman, Doris Harrel and Gil Comeau. She has studied piano performance with Ann Schau, Verna Jacobson and is presently studying with Luba Selzar Pope. Eileen is currently Zone Rep. for area 613. |
