SAO Scholarships

The SAO board has a lottery system for three SAO teachers to receive funds to attend Teacher Training.  There is a Spring Scholarship and a Fall Scholarhip.

All applications in the form of a letter to:  SAO Scholarships, 282 Waverly St. N., Oshawa, On.  L1J 5V9 or email at suzukiontario@hotmail.ca must be received by our Executive Assistant, Marjorie Ogden, on or before June 1st. or November 1st.

The draw will take place at the Full Board meeting in June and November. Upon completion of the training, the winner(s) will be required to submit to the SAO Treasurer a copy of their receipt(s) of payment for training;  also each recipient is requested to submit an article for the next SAO Newsletter - contact the SAO Executive Assistant for further details at suzkiontario@hotmail.ca . Upon verification of payment, scholarship funds will be issued.  Scholarships must be completed and paid within 12 months of June ? and November ? depending on the application.

As stated above, each recipient  is requested to write a brief paragraph or so about their experiences for our newsletter.

NEW SCHOLARSHIP - DEADLINE NOVEMBER 30TH

the sound post has graciously provided a Scholarship for SAO Teachers up to the age of 35 who have never attended the SAA Conference which is being held in Minneapolis, USA.   This scholarship provides air fare and room accommodation.    The thought is that two SAO members will be awarded this scholarship and will share the room. The time frame is rather tight.
